Our staff put the care of the children first, they receive cuddles, hugs and lots of attention just as they would at home, providing them with a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which to grow and learn.
The staff work closely together as a team; sharing ideas and expertise to benefit each other and children and families.
Kay is the nursery manager, holding this post since 2000.
She initially qualified as an NNEB nursery nurse in 1992 and is now an Early Years Teacher; She was awarded a BA Honours degree in 2009, with Early Years Professional Status in 2010.
Carrie is the deputy manager
She began her employment with us as a trainee in 2007 to become an NVQ level 3 nursery nurse, she worked her way up to become deputy in 2014. Carrie is also our safeguarding lead practitioner.
Janet is qualified at level 3 and experienced with many years of caring for babies and young children. She has two grown up children and understands how difficult it can be to leave your baby. Janet works full time and is also our SENCO.
Sue is an NNEB trained practioner who has worked in a school nursery in Telford for more than 20 years, she has a wealth of experience which is now being shared with our children preparing them for school. Sue works part time.
Leah, Natalie and Emma work part time. They bring a variety of experiences and knowledge to their work with children.
During the year we may also have students on training placements from the Shrewsbury FE college or local secondary schools on work experience. In the summer we sometimes offer a placement to a European student placed with us through a local agency. All are supervised by our staff and given guidance before they attend on placement.
